Interview Time:

The main sources for my interiors inspiration are the design fairs that I regularly attend. My top two have to be Milan Design Week and Copenhagen 3 Days of Design. Apart from this, I enjoy flicking through design magazines such as Residence Magazine and Apartamento. What I love about these publications is that they feature real homes and real people, rather than staged interiors, so that you get an authentic feel for the spaces.

My first tip when starting a home design would be to keep the colour of the walls neutral, I tend to go for white. Then introduce colour and texture with objects, fabrics and artwork. For example, in my master bedroom, I have hung a curtain on the wall behind the bed which cuts through the white and can also easily be changed in the future. My second tip would be to really consider longevity with the objects you include, such as lamps and chairs. I always try to find pieces I believe to be timeless, that will hopefully last me a lifetime, rather than following a current trend.

It’s hard to pick three but I would say my style is considered, understated and clean.

This is a difficult one to answer. I was lucky to stumble across an exquisite pair of 1401 Lounge Chairs by Wim Rietlveld for Gispen in their original upholstery which I never get tired of admiring. I am also lighting mad and have a couple of IC Table Lamps by my absolute favourite designer Michael Anastassiades for Flos which I think might be the most beautiful lamps ever created.
