Case Study - Tottenham

Project: Tottenham
Location: Tottenham Hale, London
Clients: Sam & Millie

Tottenham Flat Revamp Project

Sam and Millie were transitioning from Swindon to London, seeking to embrace city life before settling into a family home. They envisioned their high-rise new build in Tottenham Hale as a luxe, contemporary retreat with smart, space-saving solutions. Since they weren’t based in London during the renovation, they needed someone to act as their eyes and ears, managing every detail.

They wanted to incorporate elements into the design such as storage and a desk area as both would be working from home most of the time. They wanted a cosy luxe home with a neutral palette that reflected both practical yet beautiful curated home.

The Budget:

The budget for this project was just under £30k, focusing on bespoke and mid-range products, including:

What we did:

Concept / layout

  • We began with an online consultation to understand Sam and Millie’s design goals and preferences. As they weren’t living in London it was important to get design styles, communication style and any worries they had rest assured. On the call we arranged for me to visit the property to dive into these issues when they were in London so I could be their complete eyes and ears on the entire project.
  • The initial mood board was developed to ensure alignment, focusing on creating a functional and stylish layout that maximised space while incorporating a luxurious feel. The design included a large TV area for home cinema nights, essential for Sam’s vision of the space.

Design Development

01. Design

  • We created a full home refresh design This included bespoke joinery for the dual desk office area, a bar and storage combo, and custom shoe storage.
  • We strategically added pendant lighting over the dining area to elevate the luxe atmosphere and sourced upholstered beds to bring a hotel boutique vibe. Every detail was meticulously planned to make the best use of the space, creating a seamless, stylish, and highly functional environment.
  • Once the clients were happy overall, we finalised the design with ‘visuals’ to help the clients see the space as a whole. A really important stage as Sam and Millie struggle with visualising.
  • During this time a sample pack was sent to help them see and feel all the materials & fittings and understand how they would actually look in their home
  • When signed off, we start planning the works and general project management.

02. Project Management / Construction

  • As Sam and Millie weren’t living in London during their home revamp. I managed the entire project on their behalf, ensuring a stress-free experience.
  • We created detailed drawings and work descriptions to handover to our trusted trades and gathered quotes for the clients so they didn’t have to deal with the overwhelm of searching for reliable trades.
  • Regular communication, managing trades, and coordinating with the concierge to ensure all deliveries were received and set up in the flat. I conducted weekly site visits, provided detailed updates, and handled all issues as they arose, acting as their on-the-ground presence throughout the project.
  • We wanted to create a turn-key service for the client that was as stress-free as possible so full project management on-site from concept to completion was provided, this included weekly site visits.

03. Sourcing & Styling

  • As the clients found the idea of renovating their home alone rather overwhelming we took care of all the stress by sourcing all the furniture and fittings on their behalf, passing on exclusive trade discounts.
  • We took the stress out of sourcing furniture and fittings by managing the entire process, including passing on exclusive trade discounts. To ensure the flat was move-in ready, we returned for a final styling day, arranging everything to perfection before Sam and Millie’s arrival.
  • To complete the transformation, we returned for a final styling day to get the space looking pristine, arranging everything to perfection before Sam and Millie’s arrival.
